Fort Worth: Sabre Site

What to Expect

Chesapeake Energy is pleased to be active in Southwest Fort Worth. We recently completed drilling the Sabre 1H well located on West Cleburne Road, just east of South Hulen Street.

We recently received a drilling permit for the Sabre 2H, 3H and 4H wells located on West Cleburne Road, just east of South Hulen Street. These permit applications did not require Council approval, as we obtained all necessary waivers. We hope to begin drilling operations on the Sabre 2H and 3H in July of 2009.

At this time, the total number of wells planned for this site is unknown, but we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Transportation Route

All transportation route possibilities have been fully researched, and the only access available to and from this site is via West Cleburne Rd. Chesapeake is mindful of the sensitivity of urban neighbors and always looks for the solution that offers the least amount of disruption.

Meetings

Chesapeake looks forward to partnering with nearby residents and the City of Fort Worth to produce a domestic energy source our nation desperately needs, and one that allows us the modern conveniences we all enjoy. Most importantly, clean-burning natural gas helps produce the electricity that keeps us cool during the hot Texas heat.

We are currently working with Councilmember Jungus Jordan and the Hulen Springs Meadow Neighborhood Association, Hulen Heights Homeowner's Association (HOA), Far Southwest HOA , Stone Meadow HOA and Fox Run HOA to schedule meetings for all neighborhoods.

If you have questions, please e-mail Greg Macksood, Public Affairs Coordinator at greg.macksood@chk.com.
