Chesapeake Energy is pleased to be active in Southwest Fort Worth. We have received a drilling permit for the Peaceful 1H and 2H located at the corner of N. Crowley and Sycamore School Road.
The permit application for the Peaceful site did not require Council approval as it is an urban permit. We received the permit on August 25th and began pad site preparation immediately.
The Peaceful 1H completed drilling in in October 2008. We anticipate drilling in the Peaceful 2H
At this time there are 3 wells planned for this site, and we will most certainly update you when a timeline has been determined to drill the 3rd well.

The “Peaceful site” is an ideal drillsite located on land recently purchased by Chesapeake. This location will allow us to produce the minerals of numerous lessors located in the surrounding neighborhoods. We will also be using state of the art noise mitigation technology to help dampen any activity related noise on site. We will be installing 16’ sound walls prior to commencement of drilling operations.

Chesapeake is mindful of the sensitivity of urban neighbors and always looks for the solution that offers the least amount of disruption. All transportation route possibilities have been fully researched, and the map below will show you exactly where our transportation route will go. From I-35W exit Altamesa Blvd. for 1.65 miles. Travel south on FM 731 for .97 miles. Travel east on Sycamore School Road for 0.3 miles. The pad site will be on the right.

Chesapeake looks forward to partnering with nearby residents and the City of Fort Worth for many years to come to produce a domestic energy source our nation desperately needs and one that allows us the modern conveniences we all enjoy--- most importantly electricity to keep us cool in the hot Texas heat.
We are currently working with Councilmember Jungus Jordan and the Hallmark-Camelot NA, Willowcreek HOA, and Southmeadows Crossing NA to schedule meetings for all neighborhoods.
